The SCOLLA Method

Two distinguishing anchors of SCOLLA are its broad geographic presence and Teaching centered on the improvement of procedures and techniques at the forefront of knowledge in Medicine.

SCOLLA is present in 18 hospitals in 15 state capitals, the courses are centered on the improvement of procedures, techniques and skills that are at the forefront of knowledge in medicine.

Classes are taught by professors who are references in their areas of expertise, surgeons who have achieved their renown through innovation and success rate of their performances.

The courses begin with the discussion of practical cases, extracted from the surgical experience of the professors, in-person in some cases, online in others. The concepts allow participants to update themselves on the latest research and provide a scientific basis for their practice.

Live surgeries, transmitted to the small group of participants selected in each course, aim to demonstrate the decision-making of the professor who is performing the procedure, sharing their evolution allows the participant to understand the sequence of procedures and understand their decisions, incorporating new knowledge into their set of skills.

Hands-on practices, duly supported by SCOLLA's bioethics committee, made possible by Veterinary Medicine professors, develop surgical practice in the most realistic simulation environment provided in medical education.

Cadaver Lab practices offer the possibility of verifying in loco the results of the interventions performed. The techniques of conservation and use of anatomical pieces offer an impressive perception of results to participants.

In practical classes, each student is accompanied individually, thus having the opportunity to exchange with their professors, impressions about the development of their skills in the acquired procedure and about the market relationship developed by the professors.

Finally, the evaluation process is conducted with the seriousness required by the course content, the approved participant carries the security of the competence developed.
